"Home Kids And Bathroom Romance" (to be released soon!)
Making of the album We thought that it would be probably interesting for you to know how we recorded the album and to understand what we have meant. That is actually why we've decided to give you a chance to have a glance at this very intimate thing - making of Home Kids And Bathroom Romance The Story. The whole work divided into 4 sessions. During the first one (April 2006) we recorded Sex + Bubbles, Nice and Chic Master - these versions of S+B and Chic Master you can still find on our myspace page or up here. During the second session (June-July 2006) we were trying to record Suicide Joy, Left To Chance and Private Life - we have to admit, it didn't go the right way. So we decided to have our holidays until September and take our time to come up with fresh ideas. September 2006 began with a bunch of gigs planned for 2 months ahead, so we had to combine our live performances with studio work. So, the third session (September 2006) gave two songs as a result - Nightmares and Me And My Riddle. During the fourth session (November-December 2006) we recorded Bodies, Bathroom Romance, City Starves, Gentle Army (absolutely brand new!) and Siamese Angels, developed Nice and Chic Master (due to obvious failure of sound-engineering on the first versions). Circumstances. All the songs were recorded in our own lo-fi home-studio (pictures coming soon). We produced, engineered and mastered everything ourselves. That is why the album may seem a bit raw, but hopefully it will please you anyway. And yes, the whole process was accompanied by hilarious wine parties, hanging out in the nearest park, arguements and making ourselves look different (i.e. dying/styling/cutting hair, doing make-up and shredding old clothes until they look new or get worth going to the trash-bin) The Concept. Well, there's nothing so sophisticated about the album. The idea of it can be expressed in a couple of sentences. Home Kids And Bathroom Romance is our vision of growing up and getting deeper into the flow of life. Why home kids? Because we are home kids, actually, and this album is a childish look at the problem of freedom and responsibilities. You know, wanting to become an adult, then being disappointed - it brings you back to something clean. That is what it's all about. Songs Missed Out. As far as you could possibly notice, not all the songs we played live through year 2006 are included into the album. But this doesn't mean you will never ever hear them again. All these songs will be available as free downloads on this site or will become b-sides for our upcoming singles. The complete list of lost songs is:
